GDC!

We're showing off Nova-111 at The Mix at this year's GDC. I'll be there with the Funktronic Labs team, so drop by and say hi.

BitSummit!

We're showing off our new game, Nova-111 at BitSummit 2014!

Work: Nova-111

I'm making a game with my awesome friends at FunkTronic Labs. It's a turn-based action strategy game with a twist of real-time elements to spice up the formula. Check out the official site and view the trailer here.

Work: PixelJunk SideScroller

The last released game I worked on at Q-Games. It's a fairly straightforward side scrolling shooting game with the added complexity of the fluid system from PixelJunk Shooter causing all kinds of mayhem. My role was art direction, stage design and I also did a lot of scripting to add cool events to the stages.

Work: PixelJunk Shooter 2

A crazy fluid filled space adventure shooting game that I helped to make whilst at Q-Games. I was art director, but I also designed about 3/4 of the stages in the game (world 2, 3 and multiplayer stages) amongst other things.

Work: PixelJunk Shooter

A crazy fluid filled space adventure shooting game that I helped to make whilst at Q-Games. I was the principle artist and handled the visual concept as well as designing and making a lot of the game's graphics, from the player, enemies and bosses to the logo and worldmap.

Work: PixelJunk Monsters

Simple, but surprisingly addictive tower defence game that I worked on at Q-Games. I was the main artist and designed almost all of the graphics. The PC port was released quite recently on Steam.

Work: PixelJunk Racers

The very first game in the well regarded PixelJunk series, which I worked on during my time at Q. It's a strange mixture of racing, puzzles and action, and despite the relatively poor critical reviews it received, I think it was a fun title.

Work: Sir Awesomealot

A small and simple action game I made with my friend and colleague, Kalin, which was merely a test for some Playstation Mobile framework. We just got a little bit carried away with it. Would love to go back and flesh it out some more.

Ludum Dare 10 Seconds

This is a game I made for Ludum Dare 27, which had the theme of 10 seconds. It's a simple game where you must figure out what each of the randomised buttons does, memorise it and move your cursor out of a maze. It was made outside of the jam time, so is not and official entry, but it took around 2 days to make. Play it here.

GGJ 2013 Kokeshi

This is a game I made for Global Game Jam 2013. It's a simple rythmn game for two players, where one must play the taiko drum and the other must play the koto. It's very unfinished and gets brutally hard (especially for one player), but you can play it here.

Santa's Christmas Delivery

This is a small game I made a couple of years ago when learning Javascript and HTML5 canvas. It was made instead of sending a Christmas card to my friends as I thought it would be more personal and way more fun. Play it here.
